Marijana Jankovic is a Danish actress born in Montenegro. Jankovic is a highly respected actress in the Danish film industry, known for her work ethic and dedication to her roles. She graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 2006. Since then she has established herself as one of Denmark's most interesting and promising actresses on stage and screen. She landed her first role in a feature film in 2007 when she played Nina in Pernille Fischer Christensen's Dansen (2008), and the following year she played opposite Nikolaj Lie Kaas in Kandidaten (2008). For her performance in Christoffer Boe's meta-thriller Alting bliver godt igen (2010) she was nominated for a Danish Critics' Association Award. The same year she starred in the critically acclaimed and internationally recognized Beast (2011), also directed by Christoffer Boe, for which she won the award for Best Actress at Fantasia International Genre Film Festival. She also starred in Academy Award winning short Helium (2013), directed by Anders Walter. Recently she appeared in Max Kestner's QEDA (2017) and Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built (2018).
