Born on July 21st 1968, Scott Handy graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in English. He was also a choral scholar at Cambridge and, in addition to singing, he plays saxophone and was a member of rock band Ice Cold in Alice in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Scott studied acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama, and, since graduation, has returned there on several occasions as a visiting director. He has presented theatrical work-shops all over the world, often for the Cheek By Jowl Company - with whom he spent three years - and the Royal Shakespeare Company, of which he was a member for two years. Though best-known as a stage player he has made forays into film and has also joined the vast roll-call of those actors being investigated by Poirot and Barnaby of 'Midsomer Murders' on British television.
